BIO

After serving 51 years in the correctional system, Ramadan Shabazz brings a wealth of experience and insights to the table. From his time in MCI Walpole during the turbulent 1970s to his involvement in minimum security programs at Lancaster Pre-Release, Ramadan has witnessed firsthand the challenges and transformations within the corrections system. Today, he’s a strong advocate for educational programs, recognizing their potential to empower individuals and prepare them for a successful future both during and after incarceration.
