BIO
David is a senior manager and management consultant with extensive experience in strategic planning, work planning and performance appraisal, executive search, human resources administration, outplacement counseling, organizational analysis, the design of performance recognition awards programs and the establishment of employee assistance programs. He has managed, consulted and conducted training within the government, education, not-for-profit and for-profit sectors. David is formerly a Vice President and Director at Isaacson Miller, Inc., Boston’s largest diversified executive search firm. He is a former Executive Director of Massachusetts Half-Way Houses, Inc., a not-for-profit agency located in Boston, Massachusetts and former Vice President for Outplacement, Boston Division of Strategic Outsourcing, Romac International, a human resources consulting firm. Earlier in his career, he held the position of Vice President with another executive search firm.
He also has served as the Commissioner of both a state agency and a local government department, Deputy Commissioner of two state agencies, Director of Development Operations at the Harvard Medical School and Executive Director of a not-for-profit that developed jobs for persons with disabilities. In the past, David has undertaken fact-finding investigations and has been involved in various forms of dispute resolution. He has conducted training in sexual harassment, workforce reduction, networking, performance appraisal, strategic planning and has acted as the facilitator for groups wishing to establish strategic plans and implement management by objective systems within companies or organizations. He has also been called upon to evaluate human resources and training departments. In addition to managing and consulting, David has lectured at Suffolk University and served as an Adjunct Faculty Member at Northeastern University. He is a former member of both the City of Boston Compensation Advisory Board and the City of Boston Police Department Round Table on Policy Integrity, as well as the Do The Write Thing Challenge, Youth Violence Prevention Initiative, Boston Committee. He has been a board member of the Crime and Justice Foundation, Inc. and Massachusetts Half-Way Houses Inc. David was an officer in the United States Army from 1969 to 1971. He is married, the father of two grown children and the grandfather of two granddaughters.
